Position Purpose
The Closing Coordinator will facilitate loan funding and construction disbursements and assist with all closing and post-closing responsibilities. Duties include management of loan files, construction and loan disbursements, coordination of any post close documentation collection and review, good faith deposit funds, reconciling deposit and general ledger accounts, boarding and loan file review, coordination with affiliated service providers to ensure accurate servicing of all government lending loans.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage all GL loan document files, ensuring proper upload to Synergy in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate with affiliated service provider as necessary.
- Coordinate the completion of all Secondary Market sale packages and ensure proper reconciliation with accounting.
- Track all incoming due diligence items for USDA, FSA, Portfolio, and CF loans.
- Coordinate various aspects of loan fundings, ensuring consistency with settlement instructions.
- Coordinate various aspects of construction loan disbursements, ensuring consistency with loan documents and draw packages.
- Complete weekly Loan Funding Reports, including all Government Lending and Portfolio loans.
- Complete Monthly Delinquent Tax report for Government and Portfolio loans, monitoring CoreLogic for updates.
- Serve as dual control for Portfolio Escrow, balancing the DDA daily.
- Complete loan boarding reviews, to ensure all GL loans are boarded to the core system consistent with loan documents.
- Coordinate and assist with clearing GL collateral and document exceptions.
- Ensure core system collateral tabs are accurately completed for all GL loans.
- Coordinate the completion of collateral release documents and default letters.
- Liaise with deposit, insurance, leasing, and treasury team members to facilitate building a total banking relationship with each customer.
- Act as a backup for managing all good faith deposit funds, and disbursements, keeping accurate log and reconciling weekly when needed.
- Complete daily General Ledger Reconciliation when needed.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Associate degree in a relevant area of study such as real estate, business administration, accounting, finance, or equivalent related industry experience.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in government lending, SBA/USDA and commercial lending.
- Experience in audit or accounting areas of a financial institution preferred.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Work software including Microsoft Office, Office 365, and Adobe Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one along with an ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of SBA/USDA, government guaranteed lending.
- Knowledge of commercial, consumer, portfolio lending.
- Knowledge of basic accounting.
- Knowledge of legal and closing documents, insurance documents, construction documents, appraisal documents, and environmental documents.
- Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake Core Processing System, SageWorks, and LaserPro a plus.
Other
Ability to travel within a defined market area.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 / hourly. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
- Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.

- This is a 100% remote role.
