Position Summary

AB Facility Services is seeking a hands-on Commercial Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across commercial client locations. This role is ideal for a well-rounded maintenance professional with approximately 3+ years of HVAC experience and strong skills in general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other repairs.

The ideal candidate is comfortable performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting building systems, and working independently while delivering high-quality service to commercial clients. Travel between client sites may be required.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on commercial HVAC systems and equipment.

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance issues.

- Perform general handyman repairs, including carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, and other building components.

- Complete preventive maintenance and respond to service requests in a timely manner.

- Diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs or additional service needs.

- Travel between assigned commercial client locations as needed.

- Complete work orders and service documentation accurately.

- Maintain professional communication and customer service at all client locations.

- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable building codes.

Requirements

- 3+ years of commercial HVAC and/or commercial building maintenance experience.

- Hands-on experience performing HVAC maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

- Strong general maintenance skills with experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial building systems.

- Comfortable performing both HVAC-related work and general handyman/maintenance duties.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- HVAC certification is preferred.

- OSHA certification is a plus.

- Commercial Handyman with HVAC experience

Experience working for companies such as ABM, CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, EMCOR, or similar commercial facilities organizations is preferred.
