Job Description

Become a part of our caring community

At Humana, we're building human-centered experiences that help people navigate healthcare with confidence. We're looking for a Content Designer to support content design and strategy across product experiences within our digital ecosystem.

As part of Humana's Consumer Digital team, you'll create and optimize content that helps people choose, understand, and use their healthcare plans. You'll work as an embedded partner within cross-functional teams, shaping experiences across web, mobile, apps, and emerging digital surfaces.

This role is ideal for someone who is continuing to grow their content design craft, combines strong content skills with product thinking, uses research and data to inform decisions, and enjoys solving complex communication challenges in a regulated environment. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, research, engineering, legal, compliance, and content design peers to create experiences that are clear, accessible, and user-centered.

What you’ll do

- Own content design for assigned features, user journeys, and projects using research, analytics, and content assessments (audits, inventories, touchpoint mapping)

- Translate research, stakeholder, and journey insights into clear, actionable digital experiences

- Plan and execute content throughout the product lifecycle, including creation, review, approval, and quality assurance

- Simplify complex healthcare information into clear, accessible content across UI, microcopy, and multi-channel experiences

- Structure content for usability and findability, contributing to information architecture, navigation, and taxonomy

- Partner with product management, design, research, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to deliver cohesive experiences

- Apply and contribute to content guidelines, standards, reusable patterns, design systems, and supporting tools

- Use analytics, feedback, and testing insights to identify opportunities and improve content performance

- Contribute content recommendations during discovery, ideation, and iterative design activities

- Identify content opportunities and recommend improvements that support user needs and business goals

Scope and impact

- Own content for assigned features, user flows, and projects from discovery through optimization

- Contribute to product decisions through content design, research insights, and human-centered design practices

- Support scalable content systems, including information architecture, reusable patterns, and design system adoption

- Improve content quality, clarity, consistency, and accessibility across experiences

- Drive continuous improvement through measurement, testing, iteration, and feedback

Why this role matters
You'll help make healthcare experiences clearer, more accessible, and easier to navigate, enabling people to get the information they need to make confident decisions about their health. Through your work, you'll contribute to experiences that improve understanding, support business goals, and advance Humana's commitment to delivering human-centered healthcare solutions.
