Loan Documentation Quality Control Specialist

Job Description
If you enjoy digging into details and connecting the dots, this role puts you at the center of the loan process, ensuring each file meets internal standards and regulatory requirements before funding.You’ll play a critical quality control role, applying judgement and critical thinking to review documentation, analyze collateral, and help keep commercial transactions on track.
What You’ll Do
Review Commercial Real Estate loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Perform quality control on commercial and consumer loan files
Analyze credit approvals, appraisals, title, flood, and insurance documentation
Compare approved loan terms to final documents (repayment, collateral, covenants)
Validate collateral and ensure proper lien perfection (UCC filings, mortgages)
Conduct due diligence (UCC searches, business entity verification, good standing)
Review title commitments and identify exceptions or risks
Partner with loan officers and processors to resolve discrepancies
Approve high-value wire transactions with accuracy and confidence
Ensure compliance with internal policies and federal/state regulations
Manage a high-volume pipeline with quick turnaround times
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
Candidates without a bachelor’s degree who have three (3) or more years of commercial loan processing or document preparation experience will also be considered.
Minimum one (1) year of related work experience in one of the following:
Loan processing or loan operations in consumer or commercial real estate
Loan documentation review or preparation
Legal document preparation or review
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Understanding of loan terms, collateral, and basic lending concepts
Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred Experience
Experience with commercial or consumer real estate loan documentation or processing
Familiarity with UCC filings, title work, or collateral perfection
Knowledge of lending regulations (flood, appraisal, etc.)
Experience reviewing business entities or loan structures
