About the Team
The Canada Finance team is primarily responsible for the planning, forecasting and analysis of the financial performance of the Canada business at Capital One. Of specific importance is the team’s ability to influence and guide management to make financially and strategically astute decisions.
About the Role
The person in this role will work with finance FP&A team and business teams across Capital One to perform financial modeling and ongoing analysis of our existing portfolio and its performance; and to inform and guide the business in their decision making. You’ll spend time gathering and visualizing data, storytelling through presentations, collaborating with experts in areas like legal and customer acquisitions, and influencing senior leadership on critical decisions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the Annual Budget, Monthly Financial Forecast and the Long-Term Financial Plan
- Deliver accurate and meaningful financial management analyses to enable our partners to deliver on their financial and business objectives; contribute to, and deliver, presentations to communicate results, outcomes and actions to senior audiences
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Provide transparency on risks and opportunities at the total company level
- Address and deliver on ad-hoc requests and special projects, often in an ambiguous environment
- Independently manage and prioritize workload
- Oversee a team of junior analysts on the team
- Demonstrate a passion to learn and continuously develop traditional FP&A and technical skills
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role
- At least 3 years of experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders
- At least 1 year of direct or indirect people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
- CPA or CFA
- At least 3 years of experience in financial services, banking or technology industries
- At least 3 years of experience using SQL, Python, or a combination

The expected annual salary range for this position is $130,000 -$148,000.
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
