Position Summary:

Pareto Health is seeking a dynamic and results- driven Senior Vice President of Sales to lead our sales efforts in the New England region. This role is pivotal to driving Pareto’s market expansion, development of high-performing sales teams, and delivering on aggressive goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an inspiring leader, developer of sales talent, and proven closer with deep expertise in consultative selling within the healthcare, insurance, benefits or stop loss industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.

- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to keep the sales strategy ahead of industry changes.

- Lead sales forecasting and budgeting efforts to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded.

- Leverage current consulting relationships to assist RVPs to open new offices for immediate sales

Team Development & Leadership:

- Manage, continue to build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team of 7-10 field sales professionals through recruitment, training, and professional development.

- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the sales organization to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.

- Ensure sales leaders and team members have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.

- Willing to be in the MSAs that fall within the region to support your team and build strategic relationships with Pareto’s key consulting partners.

Sales Execution:

- Lead the design and execution of Pareto sales processes, ensuring operational efficiency and a high conversion rate.

- Directly manage key accounts and high-level negotiations with potential clients, ensuring a strong customer pipeline.

- Work closely with the marketing, product, underwriting and customer management teams to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the sales lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure sales goals align with the company’s strategic direction.

- Partner with marketing and product teams to develop targeted campaigns and product offerings that resonate with customers.

- Provide input on product development and improvement based on feedback from the sales team and customers.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

- Develop and maintain detailed reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and results for senior leadership.

- Monitor key sales metrics, including revenue, win rates, and sales cycle times, to assess team performance and make adjustments.

- Identify areas of opportunity or risk in the sales process and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, partners, and key stakeholders.

- Advocate for customer needs and ensure the sales organization is delivering value and satisfaction to clients.

- Lead customer and partner negotiations to ensure contracts are structured to benefit both the company and the client.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Proven experience (10+ years) in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management or executive-level position.

- Strong experience in leading a sales team to consistently exceed targets in a competitive environment.

- Excellent Network of Consulting/Broker relationships to influence immediate sales results

- Expertise in developing and executing sales strategies, managing high-level sales negotiations, and cultivating key client relationships.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.

- Analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making.

- Proven track record of successful sales in insurance, benefits, risk management, or like areas.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company.

- Achieve or exceed regional revenue targets and contribute to Pareto’s overall growth objectives

- Successfully acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing partners

- Drive significant market share growth in the Northeast region by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.

- Develop high-performing, cohesive sales team with clear goals, measurable outcomes, and consistent achievement of targets.

- Ensure retention of top talent maintain high employee engagement and satisfaction within the team.
